Wanted ice cream,so I went to the store, but before I left I grabbed
2 used plastic grocery bags out of the container where we keep them.
Got to the store, picked up two quarts of ice cream, two bags of frozen
burritos (gourmet food, right?) a dozen eggs,& one bunch of bananas. It all
should have fit in the 2 plastic bags I brought with me.
At the checkout stand the checker started my order,& I told him to
use my bags. The bagger puts my 2 used bags unto a new bag,& I told him
that I wanted to reuse MY bags,to which the checker replied "We recycle them".
I tried again,but gave up,as I didn't want to continue arguing.
When I left,I noticed that the bagger put the bananas in one bag (#1),
the eggs in one bag (#2),both ice creams in one DOUBLED bag (#3,#4) and the
burritos in one bag (#5).Add this to my two used bags (#6,#7) and the new bag
(#8) that they put my used ones in to.
Why do people do stuff like this?

It least you can get bags. Send them to New Jersey, We need them. If you don't bring your own, They want to charge 10c each... If they have them. Or sell you a reusable for $2

Same in California. We were using the store bags for wastebasket liners, but the "new" 10c bags don't work as well.
