Some of this summer's waves!

Shirley and I have had a variety of folks waving to us this summer.

One of the most memorable was the freight train engineer that tooted and waved. Many Harley's and a Triumph motorcycle. Truckers and a Vette. MGB's and a Lamborghini. An MG-TC and a few Mini's. A Spitfire and and a few Porsche's. There has been all manner of American collector cars. And the TransAm last weekend. Even a few police officers as we met on the road.
A couple of people on their lawnmowers and many pedestrians. We see smiles wherever we go!

Hi Tom,

I was driving along this summer when a cop directing traffic pulled me over. I thought maybe I had done something wrong. He came up to me as I was looking for my registration, and said, "this is really nice!" He just wanted a close look at my car.

We all know that most people don't know a TR from an MG, so I shocked one day as I was driving through my neighborhood. Driving down the street I noticed 4 or 5 kids, no more that 14 or 15 years old. As I passed them, one of them shouted, "Hey dudes, look,it's a Triumph"! Maybe a future TR owner?... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif

It is pretty funning that in my country neighborhood we has three Triumphs, a six, a seven and my 8. The local kids of interest in driving soon seem to have no trouble coming up and finding out about the cars and then researching them and telling you what type of Triumph they will own when they turn 16.
