Solution to electrical problem

So there I was sitting in the car in the driveway, with the engine running wondering why none of the gauges worked after I had carefully gone through and cleaned the contacts at the fuse box. I flicked on the headlights just to check if they worked and suddenly the car came alive. All instruments were working and even the windshield wipers decided to get in on the fun. Unfortunately, the neighbors got to see me sitting in my car, laughing to myself, engine running, lights on, and wipers going on a nice warm and sunny So Cal afternoon..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'm not sure where the fault lies but thought I would post this possibly undiscovered solution for otheres with dead gauges. Daytime driving lights anyone??

Quick question,
what happens with the key off and the lights on?

I had some wires mixed up at the fuse box. had a similar problem.

I will try that tonight. Didn't get much trouble shooting done after that last night.

Flames would have made a much better show for the neighbors! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Let 'em get their own entertainment.
