TR4/4A Soft Top from Moss UK - TR4A

Hello,

I would like to share my bad experience with a mohair Soft Top from Moss UK for my TR4A. Someone might have faced the same problem.
It does not fit to the car at all as can be seen at:

www.triumphcars.com.br/MossSoft/sewing.html

The former AMCO soft top that I had for the last 15 years was fitting perfectly, but since I have done a complete restoration on the car I thought it would be better to replace it.
People at Moss UK said that this is the right soft top to the car and so it is my problem. Worst than that, they said that the correction that was done in the top looks great! It was necessary to change several sewing and even add more material (MOHAIR) to have it fitted to the car!
Thanks in advance for any help.

i wish i could offer help but... what to do. all i can say is i looked all over for a black plastic top with tan inside as original. vb advertises it that way. when called they confirmed, when arrived all black in and out. john at roadster factory was quite helpful in a futile search and in the end i bought their black plastic with gray in. scary putting on but all went well and it fits good. sorry no picts, its down and is staying there as i am taking apart the car to some degree. brazil. huh. exotic, mountains, green, this guy has no knowledge of it only a few probable misconceptions. put it down and go for a drive is the best i got.

Thanks for your feedback. I will try to get in touch with John at Roadster Factory. Another possibility is to buy the proper material (mohair or plastic) and ask some local specialist to copy the old one I have (AMCO).
Regards,

Reinaldo
