Been in the uk for the last 10 days.

Took Friday off to go play with some toys. Went to Thruxton aerodrome to do a driving experience.

Got to drive an F430, a Murcie and a single seater Renault round the track at a fair speed. Oddly I lapped faster in the 430 than the Lambo - couldn't get used to the size, even though it is clearly a MUCH faster car.

Why can't I do something like that here when I have a free day?

Oh and I HAVE to find a way to get a 430...

Looks like a sweet ride to me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If you don't mind me asking... how much did a couple laps in those set you back?
I know you can do racing school here (skip barber, etc)... but I've yet to hear about getting to drive an exotic 'round the twisties... I'd love to give it a go. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Some people have all the fun... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'd love to just have enough money to just visit there, let alone drive those cars!

Trust you had fun anyway...

Kenny, the exchange rate is $1.8:1 right now so I'll leave the math to you. This is the site for the place.

It was an extra 115GBP for the Lambo on top of the cost of the F430 experience.

And it was a lot of fun.
Not at all driving Miss Daisy if you know what I mean...

WOW!! Per diem must be outa sight over there!

Yeah but to be fair, I was driving with the owner and he said that it took three and a half years to get!

Its easy really.

Multiply by 2.

subtract 10%.

115 * 2 = 230

-23

207

Try it, if you're a sceptic.

I do this all the time to convert from UK temperatures given in degrees C to US ones in degrees F:

F = (C * 2) - 10%, + 32

I just multiplied by 1.8 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Alot less work.
