So, what to do with the bonnet?

It looks tight JP but if you close the bonnet carefully, I think you can get it latched :whistle:

Cut the battery tray out and move the engine back at least if your going to stuff a massive lump like that in it.
 
yes it needs re-engineneered (sure that is not proper)
move motor back as mentioned, and drop down then custom intake and exhaust. move battery to rear, rig up a radiator, cut up transmision tunnel. then spend 5k to get the 2300 to put out some real horsepower. then a different rear end.
or transplant a b210 A15 with 5 speed and be done.

started this same project 10 years ago. Had all the parts gathered and dropped the 2300 in there and had a moment !! the next day I took it all to wrap metal yard. figured I would save myself a lot of money and wasted youth
 
That sprite with the twin cam is just amazing. The red one with the pinto motor, well, that's just wrong
 
Twin cam engine is a Jaguar. That is one AMAZING car!
