how does one go about cleaning "spew" out of the interior of their car?

pull out the offending panals, hose em down, and spray em with fabreeze.
Or find a detail shop with, or rent, a carpet shampooer.
Then tell your buddy to hang his head over the door the next time he drinks that much /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

eh... it's my spew... and i wasn't drunk... I tried to will myself not to spew, but my body didn't cooperate and rebelled against me as i rounded the last corner onto my street... less than a block from home /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif mind was in a state of panic and couldn't think of anything but "don't spew... don't spew... don't spew"...

I think I ate something not good last night... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Oh MAN! ShopVac and Fabreeze... Some inna car some inna ShopVac.

**** th' luck.

Coming back from a frat party long ago.....
The driver "spewed" projectile-style on to the dash, instrument cluster, windshield & steering wheel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif
He cleaned it all up the next day (his car) and it looked like nothing had ever happened...........

That is until winter & turned his defroster on........What an Un-Holy stench! & impossible to get at the source.

Now THAT'S funny.

Wow... My download bit-rate just shot up.
Guess no one is on-line around here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I hope you have a vinyl interior and didn't hit the carpet or the smell will take forever to go away.

If you think any bit might have soaked through to the metal floor or tunnel you might want to pull up the carpet and rubber and give the metal a good scrub as bodily fluids tend to be quite corrosive.

Ummm..ya THINK?!?!

*psst* Dave... foooot-a-ball...

Kinda "telling" actually. Thanks fer th' tidbit.

just went out and surveyed the damage... it seems some of it made it out of the vent window while a good portion splattered off the door window and it chunked up on the door sil. I remember managing to get the door open for the second heave so it's not as bad as it could be I guess.

I think I'm gonna hit it with a hose and some pretty smelling stuff... I HOPE none of it went into the ducts...

now... where'd I leave my detox suit... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Guess you have never been to the Silverdome then Dr. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

eh... had to move the car to a suitable location for cleaning it out... nearly hurled again when I got in... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif got most of the stuff out witha hose w/ a nozzle. had to ... *scoop* the stuff out with a rag /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif that landed on the rubber sill cover. Luckily what spilled off of the sill covers fell onto the floor mat... so the windows are half open and vents are full open letting the water dry out.

doesn't look like any went down the defroster vents. But there was a nice collection on the temperature control knob on the dash... probably one of the hardest areas to get into on a '76 'B dash... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

anyways... I'm glad thats over with. Now to work on my head ache...

Nope. Just th' odd Jimmy Buffett concert in the Cleveland Theatre /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Not directly, but I could tell you a great story about the Solo pilot when the Thunderbirds were flying F4's.

Man, I do a lot of things, but I don't do puke. Noonie, Noonie, Noonie...

I don't even want to know what you were drinking, much less why you were DRIVING!

Clean it up best you can. If you missed any, you'll know in a few months when it gets hot.
