.. I set my 1981 Jeep J10 pick up on fire and I do mean on ~FIRE~. Poured gas down the intake, hickup whoooOOOSHHH !!!

It was behind the church widdow's barn, no fire exstiguisher or hose. PLastic bits and vaccum lines started burning. I strated throwing ant piles on the flames and whatever dirt I could find. Got it stnuff out preety good, used a towel to put out the carb.

Pulled carb and cleaned all the ants out if it. ( yes, it had ants all over the motor.)

Rebuilt the carb and proceeded to pull trees out the ground with said truck. Biggest one was about 8" in diameter. This thing is a ~BRUTE~. ( and to think, I almost sold it for scrap this morning.)

I'm guessing this Jeep as the original straight 6 in it? Good Motor.

It shall be against Common Law for a Redneck to own any six-cylinder motor vehicle.

Heck, even I knew that one.
4 or 8.
I don't think they considered 12.
Them old Lincolns musta thrown the Redneck Founding Fathers for a loop when they showed up.

My brother had an old Jeep pick up but it had a rambler 327 in it, I loved it. The bell housing was cracked and aluminum and he could never sem to get it fixed properly.

I owned a 1989 Jeep Comanche pick up (4 litre). I bought it with 99,000 miles on it and drove it to 158,000 miles, sold it to my nephews GF at the time. She sank it in a stream, towed it out, changed the oil and drove it to 210,000 miles and sold to an older gentleman in a local town. He has over 400,000 miles on it (same engine and tranny) and is complaining it uses a quart of oil a month.

now you just need a six pack and a tree to sit under.......
the end to a perfect day.

My Willys is a 1949, Model 6-63.
WAS the first six for Willys.
148 cubes.
The 4 was 134 cubes.

For the last 30+ years, it has had a Flathead V-8 Ford under the hood.
Latest is a 3/4 race 50 Merc, 130 over, ported and relieved, Offy 4bbl with Holley, Offy heads, Isky cam, Mallory ignitor, headers...
Mustang II front, Mustang rear, all 5-bolt Ford.

Fast.

'cept that's where the truck is.

If you have more trucks on your front lawn than in your driveway.....

I thought it was 153. Dad has a '46 and '52. I am somewhat dislex...oh however you spell it. 134 is close enough to 135 which in my brain could eaisly be "153". I could swear it was the same displacement as a Dino, which IIRC, is 153. But knowing me....

134.
Gawd knows I've worked on enough..flatheads and "F" heads (now there's something odd....intake on head, intake valves in head (they didn't machine out the intake seats in the block), and exhaust valves in block.

Chebbie Nova 4 bangers were 153's, if I recall.

You gotta recall, 134 for a 4 banger, 148 for a six.
The cylinders were TINY on that six.

I went and looked at a '66 Wagoneer -Buick V8
as a factory engine - cool, but too much work.
I also looked at a J20 in Oregon. It was way
too far away, but I seriously considered it.

Yeah Chevy II 4's were 153. Maybe thta's where I'm loosing it.

I never did dif the pinch bolt on the wrist pins on the 134, but I guess it'll work good if you gotta change slugs in the field.

You sure about that? That looks like an old J that someone did up nice. I doesn't look new enough and has mud under the fenders. I think someone might be pullin' yer leg. That would be cool though!
