THANK GOD FOR GOOD NEIGHBORS!!!

Snow finally petered out about 2pm. Fired up the snow blower and away we go.

one pass - beautiful
two passes - life is good
three pas . . . . . doh!!! :wall: snapped a drive belt - no problem I was smart enough to buy a spare last season.

new belt on - here we go
one pass - doh!!! :wall: what - can't be - this brand new fracken belt broke????? What about the other spare?
You know the one that's a little tight but can be made to fit.

one . . . . doh THREE BELTS - THIS MUST BE A RECORD

LONG STORY SHORT - large neighbor, cop person to the rescue with his two beefy sons - and snow blower - god bless them.

They dont know it yet but the pizza fairy will be visiting them about 30 minutes before the big game tomorrow.

Yes, god bless good neighbors! :yesnod:

Frank, I hear the snow you're getting is extra wet and extra heavy. May just have been too dense and heavy for your snowblower. Gotta love the sense of community that happens when things go a little off kilter!

Pete, not so heavy but deeper than the top of the auger blades. BTW, do you know anything about v-belts. Are all v-belts the same. I mean are some heavy duty. I would be willing to pay more for a stronger belt because changing belts on this ancient machine isn't easy.

Your Battlestar is showing.

All my neighbors have snow removal equipment of some type or another, NONE will or ever have so much as offered to do me any favors. Could it be that I quit loaning my tools out? {It would seem that many became the possessions of new owners and I never saw them in my possession again}.
Anyway, after many many years of shoveling I bought myself an A.T.V. complete with snow blade. The only problem now is I have to wait until after the neighbors have gone to bed to remove the snow from my driveway in order to avoid the temptation to not only say no but HE%% NO I won't plow your driveway, you have a snow blower USE IT!
The neighbor I share the mailbox post with take turns plowing a path for the mail man, neither of us will plow anyone else's!
The goody two shoes that surround us Don't much like either one of us and the feelings are mutual!

I'm jealous, Kerry. Just a small blower here. Can't complain, though, as it's 25 years old and still going strong.

Pizza fairy?!?! Tell me more of my new favorite fantasy character. How can I convince this "Pizza fairy" to visit my abode on some sort of regular schedule? Maybe he could bring along his friend the "CAB rabbit"? hehehehehehe

I have a CAB rabbit here, Benny!

No need of "snow blower belts" tho.

What is this "snowblower" thingie you speak of? What is this stuff you call "snow" and why do you want to blow it around? I thought the word "snow" in a local weather report was the alarm to go to the store and buy up all the milk and bread.
