Wanting to prevent this from happening to my BE, I'm planning to rewire the dash, put in a modern fuse box, replace/refurbish the dash switches, upgrade to an alternator, and install relays for a bit brighter set of headlights. I've been collecting the necessary parts and doing a bit of reading before I start the project and found this site which was pretty informative Mad Electrical
