Smitty Conversion -Throw Out Bearing and Pivot Arm

I am now installing the Smitty conversion to Toyota gearbox to the engine. In the photo below please see points where I assume one would use a thin coat of high temp grease. 1. the shaft that the throw-out bearing rides on and 2. The pivot ball that the arm rotates against.

Am I correct about this? Thanks.

Hi Lin, yes you could use a thin coat of grease. However, if you have it available a thin coating of Copaslip on the splines and heavily coat the piviot will endure the heat a bit better.---Fwiw--Keoke

I did the smitty conversion.

Don't believe you need to put any grease on the center shaft. Pivot point only. The TO bearing is a completely sealed unit and has everything it needs.

I'd be concerned about getting any grease in that area because it might work its way onto the friction material of the clutch.
