Mid to late teens when these brilliant musicians were making themselves known, Woodstock performance was spectacular! Just recently refreshed my memory a bit listening to some of their music. Reading about the various members, sad to learn the trumpet maestro died a few years ago; Sly Stone seems to have had some misfortune but still with us (based on what information is available by search). What an impact this group had on the world, the message was and is we're all just human with the associated frailties and can travel this journey together! I have much admiration and appreciation for this group.

Agree! Have their album, Stand! - been a while since I've played it, but back in the day... Used it as a demo record selling stereo systems at Radio Shack. Great stuff!
