Ok, try this: Delete the book mark. Delete cookies for the forum. Type into the browser:
https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/forum.php
Then re-bookmark.
Does that load any better?

I deleted the bookmark, but not the cookies, as I did not see a way to do that for your site only, and I did not want to reload a kajillion (I do not exaggerate, a huge imaginary number!) passwords. Anyway, whatever was happening went away. Loads fine now, actually very quickly.
