I was big into slot cars in th 60's, mostly Champion. We would rewind motors, lighten frames, even made a dual-engine all-wheel-drive model. Those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end...........
 
Same here. Cox Ford GT and Lotus. K&B (NOT Katz & Besthoff!). We'd rewind motors, lighten the cars, put on "Silastic" tires. Spent all my lawn mowing money in '65 and '66!
 
Got a decent collection of HO cars. I am very pleased at all the cars Johnny Lightning has brought back and the new ones thay offer on the old Thunder-Jet/ Tough-ones chassis.
A lot slower than the new stuff, but so much more fun due to the lack of the traction magnets. and I can actually see them going around the track instead of trying to follow the blur.hehehe.
 
I SO could get into the Scalectrix slot sets they have out now! I don't have time enough for the current activities as it is......
