ok I dont have enough petal to get a good shift.
when I bought the car it has a spacer on the slave piston.
The Fork was bent by an inch and a half.
well I need a a quick cheap solution to get it shifting right
Im thinking a dented penny should g1ve me the extra lenght on the slave piston I need.

heheee... good bodge! Have ya bled the system well to insure no air, too? That "bent fork" comment is ominous, tho. Appears a clutch R&R is in your (near) future.
 
its well bled. but Im grinding I think I had a Socket in ther for a while. I did the clutch fork and the trany. opps then moved it to the other car...oh well so this will be the first time on this engin now that I think about it.

if I use a penny is there any problem with the copper or zink?
 
Not if you DON'T consider it a "final fix"!

Copper's soft, it'll flatten (thin) more over time. Bite th' bullet and DO the R&R. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I have two months to sort out every thing
and work..
the union jack car ran last fall but had no power

snoopy my red mg runs I have to do the breaks and the clucth today
