Rack of lamb on the BBQ tonight. Almost done & a skunk decided to bother the effort. Dissuaded him (her?) with a lima bean from the slingshot at 10 yards. Wiped out our last bottle of Handley's Zin with the lamb.

Some suppers are just ~perfect~, ya know? And the night ain't over yet!

Hope all's well in BCF land.

So far!!

Are ya stayin' WARM "up there" John?

My Mainiac pal is now safe an' sound down here. Left th' Seven in th' Pond shelter, tho.

Yeah, we get the Swamp Kitties around here too. Maybe more so (I know we have more black bears).
Then again, you have more of those scary Pine Martens.

Shame to waste a good lima bean (I like all green food but they're my favourite).

I was talking to Standish resident ~Kim Eastman~ last night on the phone and asked him if he was expecting a cold WInter?

"Ah yep." he said.
Really.

T'wasn't wasted. Where do you think ~beanstalks~ come from.

I know Kim. I don't think I've ever known a car guy with such a wide range of automotive interests. Great guy.

Re the winter - it's pretty easy to predict whether it'll be warm or cold. The hard part is predicting when it'll start (hasn't yet) and how long it'll be.

Doc - ask him if he wants me to run over and exercise his seven once in a while.

Ya ~poop~!! Ya didn't go meet 'im when ya had th' chance! :jester:

Nope! I ain't no fink. :smirk:

Lima bean? What's wrong with a .22 rifle?

No .22 ammo in the house. In retrospect, I did have quick access to a .38 Special but the offending varmint was between 2 cars and I would have feared collateral damage. Plus, there's the carcass (assuming I hit it.)

True, you can't eat it.

I think th' bean inna slingshot was an ELEGANT solution, BTW.

Minimum required force.
