I am trying to design a pressurized power bleeder for the clutch/ brake hydraulics. Does anyone know if the cap on the Bugeye Master cylinder is the same size as the older VW's? I think they are an inch and 1/2. thanks

I just ordered a new cap for this purpose.

Check under the kitchen sink! There are some household products that have caps that are perfect for a BE MC cap! Also some car-care products have the right sized cap!!

Mike,
Love your reply, when I first started working on my 65 the master cylinder had a standard bottle cap of some sort on it that some one had put an air vent end. while taking the body apart I found the original cap down between the fender and the chasis.

 My first BE had a cap from, as I recall, a Brasso can!!!

I've found all sorts down inside the inner panels. From caps and tools to kids' toys. Amazing what gets "lost" in those places.

One guy I know has a toolbox STOCKED with those "finds".
