I just ordered a "clikadjust" for setting the valves and would like to find a site that explains how to use it in detail. I also need to know the number of clicks for a TR3. The british company that I bought it from had a brief explanation of how to use it, but didn't have a TR3 listed and I'd like a little more detail on how to use it. This might all come with the tool when I get it, but if I can find it on the internet, I'll know how to use it when it arrives.
thanks

I don't know of a website, but instructions do come with it.

There is no 'set' figure for any particular model. The process for finding the number of clicks involves getting an initial setting with a feeler guage of appropriate size under the rocker arm, and then removing it, tightening down and counting the number of clicks to close the gap. This is supposed to account for wear, etc on any given vehicle, plus make it kind of a 'universal' tool for any engine with screw-type rocker arm settings.

You will have to go through this process twice if you have different settings for intake and exhaust valves.

I have one. It works, but I found it a little cumbersome to use. Maybe I'm just used to doing it the old way.

I have one that I don't use. It works out to be 4 clicks on my TR3 which is why I don't use it. Depending on where the ratchet is sitting when you start your adjustment could be off as much as 0.0025" in either direction. If the ratchet was finer, say 10 clicks I would probably use it.
