silicone brake fluid question

Hey all,
When I purchased my BN6, the previous owner had rebuilt the
entire brake system and he was a firm believer in using
silicone brake fluid versus girling. Since this is all
that has been used in this system, any reason to change it
out ? I've read Norman Nock's tech articles and at the time
the articles were written he was strictly a girling brake
fluid guy. I'm fine with the silicone but welcome your
recommendations.

Might as well ask which oil (or religion, etc.) is best.

I've used silicone brake fluid in a BJ8 for many years with no problems. Others on this forum have not had the same result.
 
When I did my re-build I switched to silicone fluid. At first it seemed like a big mistake. I did have some seeping, but as many folks have stated perhaps they finally figured out the "swelling agents" and the seeps have disappeared and the system has been trouble free for over a year and a half.
I think the same might have happened with any other fluid.
 
Had silicone in my 3000 for over ten years...no seepage no problems...firm believer if done properly in the first place.
