just saw that - one of my favourites too

RIP Dr. Johnny Fever. WKRP was one of the first shows I really remember enjoying as a kid.

"The Pinedale Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys, film at 11". Great line from probably the best episode they did.
When we used to have a school schedule that included the Monday and Tuesday right before Thanksgiving I'd always have half my kids gone on that Tuesday. So, I'd show that episode to the kids that did show up. It never failed to entertain.

I showed that episode to my nieces a few years ago at Thanksgiving, thy didn't see what the fuss was about. And one who's a vegetarian didn't like the implied hurting of turkeys. No sense of humor...

Abbey's a good young adult, but sometimes can't laugh at the jokes. Told me once that you can never eat anything that had a mom and dad as a reason for not eating meat. I pointed out that technically plants have parents too so how could she eat things made from them either. She saw no humor in that.

My wife feeds animal products to the dogs and cats but won't eat meat or serve me any.
She also has no sense of humor for any fictional harming of critters.
I can't even watch any nature programs when she's around the house.

A guy I know told me about a lady (close friend of their family)
who wanted to give him a kitten. He said "That'd be great! - First you
run it over with your car, then put it in your freezer, so you can play Frisbee-
with it".She laughed when he said that.
They did get the kitten from her.A few weeks later, she stopped by
their house."How's the kitten doing?".He said "Let's find out",& walked
over & opened the freezer door.

Sad. Although I’m not sure i could pick a favourite character (except Bailey!) but my fondest memory was of Herb Tarlik (sp?) in the fish suit!

I recall one of the Bugs Bunny cartons with Elmer Fudd shooting at Bugs and Daffy where at one point he says he won't eat meat as he's a vegetarian and only hunts for sport. Bet that wouldn't go over well.

Sorry JP, I was gonna mention Bailey when the thread started but I didn't want to appear sexist.:popworm:
