Siebkens - as in B.S.Levy's "Last Open Bar"

Offline
I had the opportunity to have lunch at Siebkens Bar in Elkhart Lake, WI today....

I felt like I was in the poster now being marketed by Burt Levy...

And there IS such a thing as ghosts!

Awsome! I'll be stopping in at Seneca Lodge here soon. Levey needs a "twin" painting set there.
I'm hoping to pick up Toleys Ghost at the vintage race in Sept. I've been waiting for the next chapter in the life of Buddy.
I have a small version of that painting (cut out from a magazine) in my toolbox. It's awsome.

I have Touley's Ghost...it is a great read!

I picked up the poster from Burt at the Chicagoland MGb Club's swap meet last February. Burt personalized it for me as only Burt can do.

I also bought a couple of prints from a local artist today...one of an MGTF, the other of a vintage downtown Elkhart Lake road race, circa 1950 or so... She had quite a personana...and also personalize my prints....see attached.

Toleys Ghost, yep need that, had forgoton it was out now.

Love those prints.
If you want some Watkins/vintage race themed paintings (some really good MG prints) visit Robert Gillespies site. He's the one who painted the murals on the buildings downtown in Watkins. and he's a big Vintage race fan, and a really nice guy
