Is this wing nut available anywhere? I am thinking about reproducing a few. I have only one original and need another but figured if I make one I can easily make more while I am at it. These were used on the longbridge cars only I believe.

Well here is my start to the wing nuts. I have enough material to do 10 pairs not including my set. I don't know a price point yet as I still have to see about chrome plating them. But this is the start. They are solid machined brass. I had to hind polish the edges to get that rounded smooth corners like the originals (which I assume were cast bras then chromed). As you see them now they have been bead blasted to help smooth the surface prior to the chrome plating. I hope to contact a plating company in a week or two. I want to finish all the other sets I plan to make before I go though.

Randy,
I ordered the spring set but have not installed it yet.
It seems the more I run it the more responsive and better it runs. I have driven it around the yard a bit and it has never died out at idle again. We'll see I guess.
