Hello all,
Quick question that I figured this group could help with -
my 100-6 is Healey white with black interior with white
piping. I know that black would probably be the correct
color to paint the side inserts but has anyone seen a white
with black car with red side panel inserts ? My car originally did not have painted side panels but looking
to paint them now and wanted some input from y'all.
Many thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike, Yes I have seen white Healey's with red side panel inserts.I have also seen one with light yellow inserts.---Keoke

Hi Mike:
My '62BT7 has been white over red since 1992. It was originally black with red interior, and the PO had it painted silver and replaced the interior with black. My white is more of the "appliance" color, but the red is pretty close to the Colorado Red. I've really enjoyed that combination. One drawback to having contrasting color side panels is that it draws more attention to panel(fender/door/fender) alignment, so make sure that you are satisfied with that alignment before the respray.

Thanks for the replies! Good point about the alignment of doors and fender lines - need to get a better alignment on
the driver's side before I this.
Thanks again,
Mike

Hi Jerry,

Welcome to the forum! Where are you in Ohio; close enough to Toledo that we can see each other's cars?

Hi Randy:
I'm in Zanesville, in Eastern Ohio, roughly 55 mi. East of Columbus on I-70. Not a stranger to NW Ohio as I have helped friends move their kids in and out of BGSU, and drive around Toledo on 475 on our way to vacation in Michigan. I sure wouldn't heading up that way in the Spring.

Great! I'm right off I-475/US-23 at Airport Hwy (Holand area). Please consider getting in touch the next time you're passing through the area. That's my E-mail address in the signature's picture.

My Bad! My last sentence should have read:
" I sure wouldn't mind heading that way in the Spring."

I will let you know when I'm in the area.
