Side Curtains for a what?

I bought these too long ago on ebay for my bugeye, but now finally getting around to rebuilding them, it turns out they do not fit. Looking at MM, it appears they could be for a big Healey. Dimensions are 28 3/8" long (bottom) and 11 1/8" high. They appear to be the correct length for the BE, but the windshield on my BE is more tilted back, about an inch at the bottom. Does anyone know what they are for, and does anyone want them? Anyone have any BE curtains that they don't need. I have the plastic and the rubber seals. Thanks,
Scott in CA

How do you adjust the rake? Also, the brackets I have from AH spares has the rear screw one on the bottom and one on the vertical piece.

Also, the BE windows I got from MM, are 1/2" shorter than the ones that were in the window above.

Well, the big AH forum said that the later Healey windows are 13" tall, so it is not theirs.
Could someone measure the height of the BE sidecurtains. Maybe these are just poor design after market units.
Thanks,

Could they go with a particular hardtop? My hardtop has unique side curtains but not the same as these.

Scott, I have a pair of side curtains for mine, rough but rebuildable. If you want them, I will never use them so let me know.

I have several sets of spare sidescreens. The all measure 10 1/4" tall and 29" wide at the bottom.

I have one set with new lexan, felt and rubber if anyone is interested.

There was a Healey works hardtop with taller side screens but its hard to say what they fit since weathershield made them for everything.

Kurt.

As far as I know, the standard side curtains were the same from sometime after the first early Bugeyes (soft curtains), until 64 when they stopped the sidecurtain cars. There were nonstandard side curtains made for special tops, but the issue ones were the same.

They appear to be units that MG Mitten sold in the 1970's. When new, mine had a MOSS sticker on them. They also had plastic seals and the bottom joints were glued and stapled together. Replacement seals were unobtainium.

I gave mine away before the turn of the century to a needy soul.

Steve

Mine are going into the scape heap. For some reason, the angle at the windshield is different with these windows.
