This is the 1958 Sprite I just went to Ft Myers Flordia to get. and yes the car was misrepresented. But how can you not love a bug eye. So now I have two 1958 Sprites to work on at the same time. this one is close enough to orginal to make a mini-restored driver out of for my wife.
this is the other 1958 I got a month ago, it has been butchered up to bad to put back orginal, plus its gonna be a lot of fun with 400 horse power
Back to the real sprite
this one hood opens correctly, the red one tilts forward, I can see why people have changed them
this is with hood up so you can see years of rearranging wires & stuff
this shows, what I was told was a Weber carb set up, looks like an updated set of manifolds too. I was told this was a 1275 cc motor. Is this set up a keeper? After 5 years of sitting I am sure it will need reworking. so need to know if it is worth messing with
