PS re: smoke guage...I have not had one of those, though I have had the other option, a complete smoking dash!!! that was what prompted the switch to Neg. Ground, alternator etc. No need for a smoke guage after that.

Wish I had the smoke gauge last weekend while I was tryin to sort out my ignition problems. Didjano that putting the point lead on the + side of the coil will generate lotsa heat and smoke? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I refilled the wires with genuine NOS 1974 Lucas smoke where I could, and replaced the rest with reproduction wire. BTW, still haven't sorted out the ignition problem. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif Oh, and I'm cleanin out the garage so that I can get out of the wind and get some light to work with. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif Probably get her in the garage this weekend.

going with pateriot chrome side pipes (1275) going to use a y connector to split the exhaust off a aftermarket stainless steel ex. header, just refurbished a set of hurrican wheels, and putting in a 7 gallon fuel tank. next year going with aluminum flywheel and datsun 5speed if I can find one for a decent price.
