Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a 1973 Triumph TR6 on an online auction site called Clasiq. It's current bid is at $7,500 I was wondering what everyone thought of this price and what the max amount I should pay for it is. It has 1500 miles since a complete overhaul, very nice but I have no real idea about value with these. I would very much appreciate some input.

73 Triumph Clasiq

Thanks everyone!

To start I have a 1973 TR 6 see pic. The car you are looking at looks great from across the street. With a great number of pic in his post I question a number of items missing so under $ 10.000.00 would work. let the other TR 6 guys ring in but here is my list. Starting at pic #57no seals on door glass inside or out---#60 see hole in roll bar likely SCCA Cert ---# 62 missing windscreen seal locking strip. # 66 non standard door switch ( not a big deal ) # 72 no door handles for door glass or to open door from inside. # 89/90 No center post or fan or heater controls or radio space. # 93 Door seal top some removed to close door. # 103 Fuel filter normal before fuel pump. # 101 no heater valve or hoses ( May not have a heater core)
The work that has been done adds more question to what was not done or less qty. WHEELS TIRES AND PAINT DO NOT MAKE A TR 6 Some rust on underside question more. Bottom line it is a work in progress

If you are looking for a 73... not much 1973 left on that car. I would want clear pictures of the complete frame before I would think about it.

The 1973 is a good model year for a few reasons. one less smog. higher HP by HP 90 to 110 HP . Question what do you know about TR 6"s as in why are you looking at them. The West Coast is better for them than East or South. Shipping from East cost $ 1,500.00 shipping. Do you have a dollar amount ? The reason I ask is some buyers want lookers show cars some want project cars of even parts cars where are you in that line. I can put out feelers if I knew more. I have TR friends from Canada to SO-CAL you can contact me in PC if you like see Madflyer
They are out there to the right buyer and right price. There are some West Coast Meets this year with good car sales.
