Now that our garage renovation is 90% complete husband is trying to convince me that this really is a WORKBENCH! I think when he says he's working in the garage that really means I'm sitting in Agatha, watching TV and pretending I'm at the Drive-in.

And what do you think?

Someone had some kitchen cabinets left over from a remodel. :jester:

I have to say I rather like it! Streets ahead of what I have to play with, a defnite touch of luxury!!! Actually, I shall confess that your garage looks nicer than my kitchen. No kidding. :frown:

Fantastic! That garage is much nicer than my kitchen....

Does look like a good place to work.

Nice! But to get that full Drive-in effect you will have to upgrade to a 52" HDTV!!

Good start. How about you and the hubby get some beer and munchies and pretend you are teenagers. Oh, and use the Jag.

Not fair. For it to be a real drive-in, you need some mosquitoes!

:jester: I knew he wasn't being totally honest!

Seriously, he's done a fine job with the garage. He did everything except the epoxy garage floor. I did put everything in the cabinets except for his tools which he really wanted to do himself. I also learned how to hold up a cabinet with my back so that husband could mount it. Amazing how he trained me to be his carpenter's apprentice. Not a skill I really wanted.

As to the kitchen cabinets they are at the low end of the price point but certainly do more than fit the bill. It all started with a total clearing out of 12 years of garage accumulation so that we could have an epoxy floor put in. Then it just kept going from there. Amazingly we came in under budget except of course for the sweat-equity. All toll it has taken 5 weeks to complete. As to the choice in cabinets, we live in a log home and all the garage cabinets we looked at just didn't seem to be a fit.

I am very proud of what he has done. His profession is that of pilot but he never ceases to amaze me with his abilities. Now that fine compliment is in print!!!

I'm with Drew.. much nicer than my kitchen. As for the drive-in effect, hang a digital projector from the ceiling, get a big screen to pull down over the wall, and Viola! a good surround sound system and sit in Agatha while watching Grand Prix, Le Mans, Bullett ot Etat De Rondezvous... vroom vroom! heheheheh

WOW! I'm green with envy! So neat. I LOVE the tool chest
as well. It would sure inspire me to work on my car.

:iagree:
