Shortening the list of things yet to be done.

I got most of the final electrical things done today on the midget. Mostly check outs and tightening down all the gauges within the dash and things like that. Knocked out a bunch of things. The list is getting shorter, but there is still a few hold ups. One is the seals for the vent windows to the windshield. For some reason I can't find the right ones. The rubber has a little channel that fits into an aluminum channel on the windshield, but the one on the rubber is too narrow. Also with the tonneau cover the snaps are wrong. Both the top and the top cover that you use when the top is down have Tnax fasteners, but the tonneau cover has regular snaps. Is there some kind of adapter that will go from tenax male to regular snaps?

Just put some Tenax Snaps on the tonneau. I believe 7 snaps on chrome bar on the back and 4 Tenax on each side on Bugsy my '68. I've added Tenax fasteners before on one of my tonneau covers. They're available from any place that does boat cover work and I might have even seen some in the Specialty Fasteners at a "good " hardware store.

I might look for them, they are outrageously priced coming from VB or Moss.

There are two styles, English and German I believe. The German is larger.

Still expensive and now I feel bad. I remember throwing out that old vinyl top all those years ago and it had those good fasters on it. Daddy always said that as soon as you throw something out, that is when you will need it. Wish I had kept those :frown: Anybody got a top they are replacing?

yup - let me check what I got and get back to you - likely after Easter dinner
