Shipped the B to Philly, now it won't start

I shipped a B from Orlando to Philly last week. It ran perfectly when it left and now it won't start for the new owner. He wrote "it won't start" and didn't give me any further explanation. The car was tuned in 70 degree weather here and it is much colder up there.
What advice should I give him?

Full choke, well charged battery.... and more details!
 
Manual choke? and is he choking it? Any wires come loose during shipping? Must be something simple and obvious.
 
which carbs does it have?? is he (or did the truck driver) pumping the pedal and expecting that it will do something?
He probably just isen't fermiliar with british startup procedures
 
Still waiting for a reply from the buyer. No manuel choke with Z/S carb. It really ran well when it left. The car started immediately for the truck driver and the buyer is a B owner so he knows the cars. I'm frustrated because I have only received the deposit and waiting on payment. I put a lot of effort into the car to make it nice for the buyer. I don't think the car has ever seen zero degree weather which probably has something to do with it.

I'm about 30 miles N of Phila and it was 3degF this AM all week long. As Doc days, you need a fresh battery, good gas and full choke. 20W-50 oil in the sump wont help much. A squirt of ether or propane into the throats will help things *immensely* in this temp.
 
Oh, and why would it not start. Empty tank?
 
He didn't tell me why it didn't start just the fact that he got it started. I know it had fuel because I put 3 gallons of premium in it. One thing that bothers me is that the driver's side window crank is now missing. Took $100 off selling price and called it even.Done deal.

Scott - That sounds ominous. I'm moving from CA back to Virginia this summer and may transport one of my cars. What's DAS's full business name?

Man, someone was playing in route.
 
It was shipped by Exedous(spelling?) out of CA. I took half a day off of work to prep the car for shipping and be ready for the driver for the 4:00 pick up time. 4:00 rolled around and I got a call. It was the driver saying he'll be there in the morning. More time off from work. I called Exedous to give them a piece of my mind. We had scheduled 4:00 pickup on Thurs. Now he won't be here till Fri. The guy told me "Well you didn't really sound like you needed it picked up on Thurs." Idiot!!
Rant over, deal done, time to spend some money on the 76

They found my car; but not before it spent 4 days running around upstate NY on an open carrier. And the driver forgot to leave the keys at the local terminal, so they are FedExing them tomorrow.

Now that was an interesting read.... I came off lucky when I bought this B, since both the seller and I were in CA. He trailered the thing down here from Napa as part of the deal - which was just as well, since if I'd had time to drive it I'd have found out the hard way that it really, really, really needed new tires.

If you want someone to walk it through BMV in Harrisburg to make sure in person that it is going through alright, I am close enough to do it at lunch time sometime. I can walk it in and wait for immediate plate issuance (or rejection) and the title comes in a couple of days. Or I can take it in and get it approved and let them mail the plates that or the next day, with title to follow in a few days. Email me if you want to set it up.

Apparently since this is an out of state car I need a VIN tracing (and/or an inspection by a state police officer to verify it was not stolen).
