You know, I really like to buy my car parts locally, especially auto parts. I worked in a small chain of stores here in West Palm Beach, and I have bought my parts for my Cougar, Beetle, and to some extent my B.
My Cougar was having some overheating issues, so I decided to replace the t-stat along with the nine year old belt and hoses.
I heard about Rock Auto (www.rockauto.com) and figured I would compare prices with my local store. I compared the same brands and part numbers for my stuff, so I was comparing apples to apples as it were.
Even after including shipping, I saved over $40 compared to shopping at my local store.
I just thought I would share this with everyone here.
