During the past 6 months I have been working on my TR6 taking inspiration, ideas, and knowledge from this forum. On more than one occasion the response was SEND PICTURES so here are some of:
Homemade oak veneer dash
Miata seat conversion
Good Parts ram air, and radiator shroud
New carpeting / fog lights / badges
205-65-15 tires ( not rub issues )
Thanks to the many who have helped me with my questions.
Dang if I am now an amatuer Tinster!!!!!

Love that color!! Nice job on the seats and dash as well.

What a great looking car. I love the dashboard. What kind of wood is that? The rest of the car looks great too and the leather seats suit it well.

I took the old dashboard and covered it with oak veneer, cut out the holes and thats it.

nice work! Did you get a cabinetmaker to glue the veneer on (pressure glue) or did you just glue it on with a contact cement?
I see you are still to install the 'wireless', I just completed mine. I had an Alpine gathering dust in the cupboard and thought why not enjoy a few tunes after not having one for so long.
I think Tinster should have his own forum page dedicated to TR6 restorations/tribulations.

At Lowes home improvement center they sell a veneer that you actually install with an iron. I got the tip from a woodworker friend who gave me a scrap and it holds very well. I cut the holes out with a dremel tool using sanding drum bits. It took me a couple of 2-3 hour evenings.
The veneer product is called Band-it and it comes in a 12" x 48" roll.
CD player is to be installed this week.

This post is NOT to toot my own horn, but to show that amatuer Tinsters like me can pick up alot with forum members ideas and help.
New dash cap ( multiple responses)
Licence plate ( copied off swift6)
Fog lights ( copied off kodjana)
Dash ( multiple responses)
carpet ( followed Brosky instructions)
Guage cleaning ( followed Tinsters lead)
ignition swith ( martyx)
Clutch slave cylinder ( multiple responses)
Goodparts shroud and ram air ( multiple responses)
And the list goes on, tire size, Miata seat conversion, etc.
Everyone has a part in mine and others success with our cars, and just think what we would do without forums like this!
