2007 CLASSICS ON THE JAMES
FEATURING BRITISH AND EUROPEAN MARQUES
“The Tour of Europe Continues!”
September 15-16, 2007

RICHMOND, Virginia : The Central Virginia British Car Club has announced “The Tour of Europe Continues” will be its theme for the 23rd annual Richmond Classics on the James Car and Motorcycle Festival.

“The Ferrari will be our featured marque this year because of their impact in the automotive history throughout the years”, said Bruce Woodson, Event Chairman. “We are excited about having the rest of the European cars (such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porche, VW, Fiat, Citron, Maserati, Saab, Volvo and many others) displayed alongside the British cars for the third time in our twenty-three year history”.

The highlight of the annual two-day event will be the car show on Sunday, September 16th from 9am to 4pm. Some three hundred cars and motorcycles will be on display at Brown’s Island, overlooking the James River. “The show combines the scenic location of the Island on the James with the backdrop of the skyline of Richmond. It is an opportunity to view fine examples of automotive and motorcycle style, performance and history” said Woodson.

Car show participants will enjoy a variety of events on Saturday, designed to showcase Richmond’s cultural landmarks with an opportunity to display their cars. There will be an historic 60-mile rally and a Saturday evening social event will take place in Shockoe Slip. The Crowne Plaza Hotel Richmond, located at 555 East Canal Street, will serve as the gathering point for Saturday’s activities. Hotel reservations may be made directly with the Crowne Plaza.

Entry of vehicles will be PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY!! The cost will be $25 per vehicle and entries will close Aug. 25th. Class availability may be limited. Spectator admission for the show on Sunday is $5 for adults, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to charity.
