So, yesterday afternoon I'm driving to meet SWMBO for dinner at one of our usual hangouts. The place is in the bottom of a canyon that runs between Orange and Riverside counties.

As I'm cruising along I hear loud but oddly low pitched rotors. For a brief moment I look up and see nothing. But then a pair of V-22 Ospreys come from behind, flying low over my head in helicopter mode.

Way cool.
 
Reminds me, I came out of the office the other day at just the right moment. As I was walking to the car heard this rumble and when I looked up over headed east to west came a B-25 with invasion stripes. Don't know where it was headed, but nothing quite like the rumble of big round military engines.
