Selling the MGB - Need Advice

I'm selling the MGB,as I went to CA DMV & was told that the fee would be $749!!!!,
as it wasn't non-opted,& it showed it had a "Salvage " title on their computer (the original-
Pink Slip isn't stamped "Salvage".
My question is this - if I sold it to someone out of state, would there be any back fees,
& would it have a clear title?

This was a one-owner '68 MGB,bought new here in Eureka.
Always garaged (until recently),rust free (except where burned).
I even found the original metal warranty card,& the service -
record book.
I'll be swapping out some parts with our GT.I've decided that
I really don't need this big of a project right now. Will update pictures soon.

68 is one year too new for me for any LBC, but someone wants it.
