Selling an MG, this is what you hope for the car..

I sold a couple GT's in the past year.
I've heard from the person who bought my 70 MGBGT several times and he has kept me up to date on his progress.
Today he sent a picture, so here's a "before" and a "during" shot. Hopefully sometime there will be an "After"...

It apppears to have gone to a good home. Another couple of hundred thrown at it and it'll be good to go. Looking forward to finished pics! Bob

Why's he doing the fender openings in black? Is going to paint it black?

I've been in contact with all of the former PO's of my cars. I think it's important to keep in touch for a time after they sell their cars. Part of the closure of selling something that they love. Then on the other hand, some are glad to see them go.

Looks like a nice start to a resto.

That's not a casual endeavor! I suspect it'll get "After" pix soon. Very nice to see someone go into it "hammer-n-tongs"!

Geez, Tony... you're such a fuss! :jester:

I'm gonna shoot Her OEW inner wells with a black undercoat now, just to be contrary. :smirk:

Heh - I didn't ask him about the eventual paint scheme.
Knowing what he's done with other GT's I know it's going to look great!!

Doc - I'll shoot bedliner or undercoat under a car everywhere except where it shows...that gets shiny body color....anything else reduces value to me....so, if a guy is doing it for his enjoyment, go for it....if he plans on selling to make a buck, he needs to stay factory except for updates fot safety.

You know I agree.
