Sell the '68 F250?

I have a really nice,original '68 Ford F250,& a
'94 Dodge Dakota Club Cab.
We've got 10 cars now,& I'm thinking that maybe
we should "downsize".The F250 is all-original,new tires-
($750),360,automatic,original paint,heavy duty hitch just
added,perfect interior.This is a "Camper Special",with the
tool box, dual gas tanks,& possible dual battery setup.
I've found a one owner,early '80's Ford F150 4WD,that I
can buy reasonably.Real nice paint scheme (Blue/Gold).
If I can sell the F250 for a good price,& the Dakota for
a reasonable price,should I buy the F150,& consolidate the
2? It would save on insurance,license fees,& (I hope),help
me get to work on the other 8 cars.
I hate to sell the F250,but it sits most of the time-
7-13 MPG.
Your thoughts?

Woah.

Is that guy a member here? If not, we need someone nearby to hunt him down and drag 'im in!

I'd keep the '68. That's a sweet truck.

Yes,we pay commercial fees on pickups. This is my "tow rig",
when I need to haul something heavy.I was just thinking about
selling both, buying the F150,& paying off the Visa bill,& having
a truck out of this deal.
Too many cars,& not enough money.

Stewart,

Thank you for the link.I'd like to contact this guy.
Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?

Doug,
Taken from the bottom of the "About this Mess" page on the website- "If you’d like to get in touch, please email me: roger ( at ) rogerlos.com"

That early 80's F150 is junk compared to to the '68. Dad had a '69 w/ over 500K on it. It took Katrina dropping a 80 ft tall double turkey pine on the cab to put her down......but ya know what?????? If you would have been in the cab you would still be alive. Ya might have a headache, but you'd still be kickin'. Try that w/ an 80's F150. Pull the 360, go modern injected 302 AODE like out of an explorer or 300 six w/ a 4 speed. You can't beat the 300 and you can't kill it. If you were closer I might buy it, but I'd have to ~STEAL~ it.

Keep the truck.

Just saw the pics, don't you ~DARE~ get rid of that truck !!!!!

Oh, take out that big heavy Dana and put a 9" in it. You don't need it and it'll help lighten it for milage.

Dude, look out you window.

See me yet?

No....over here.

Yeah....under that bush.

Sorry, I thought the link above was for you but apparently it's not. That guy has a nice truck though.

Some pictures of Doug's F250. Sure looks like a nice truck.

Man, what a MASSIVE trailer to haul that Mini on!!

That was last November.A friend loaned me that trailer
to haul a TD to Salem,Oregon. It drove me crazy backing it up,
with the axle set back.
BTW - that's our Granddaughter (now almost 5)"modeling"
for the camera.I was offered to buy the trailer, but passed.
