TR2/3/3A Self canceling turn signal, "hit or miss"

My turn signal self canceling is sporadic at best.
i was planning on working on it this winter.

but having read Randall's notes ( borrowed from his photo-bucket post )
at the top of the attached page, I'm wondering if it's worth trying to fix.

Or, Are there even new parts available & what would I need?


other than that, (really only the left turn cancellation is sporadic) the control head is doing it's job.

but I am known to drive around, miss-signaling, for extended periods.

The entire head is available new (last time I checked), but I've never heard of anyone selling new parts.
