OK, not me, our house. They are filming in the house next door and we are getting paid (minimally) to let them park a car in our drive as a backdrop.

Very interesting to see - trucks everywhere!!! Toronto has a huge film industry so, we are very used to seeing shoots everywhere - especially at this time of year.

The movie is entitled Flint - and is about the water crisis - starring Queen Latifah - but haven't seen her yet.

I suppose the only downside is that apparently our neighbourhood is a good representation of a lower class neighbourhood in Flint Michigan

hmmm - wonder why they're not filming in Flint?

"Don't drink the water - and don't breathe the air!"

They filmed the hit TV show "Breaking Bad" here in Albuquerque. In fact the "car wash" where a lot of the filming took place is the car wash I take our cars when we need a quick rinse. In one episode, my older son's Corvette Z06 is seen parked on the street. (But he didn't get paid for it LOL). There are actually tours you can take that go around to all the BB filming locations. Here are a couple of pictures I snapped of tourists at the car wash.

The reason so many shows are shot in Canada is the US cities used to give generous tax breaks and incentives to the studios.
Not any more ,though the Canadian government doesn't mind to.
That's why my daughter works in BC instead of the US

Here in New Mexico they do have tax incentives for filming here - not sure how much of an incentive, but I know there is a fair amount of film activity in our state. My son has a company that does high-end drone work and has done some movie work here. (Don't ask me which movies).

Filming in Canadian dollars and viewing in American dollars is a huge incentive - plus the infrastructure is huge!

This is what the front yard of our house looked like - a tent of extras and a tent of equipment - plus other stuff everywhere and many trucks.IMG_1308.JPGIMG_1309.JPGIMG_1311.JPG

hmmmm - still doesn't look like Flint.
