...and off he goes, to hunt down an Escort!

We had a good time at the Twilight 4-Hour Enduro too. Our fuel man is Tim M. (blocked from view in this picture by my son-in-law). Tim won the first EMRA 4-Hour (1983) in a 1275 Mini by covering 110 laps. This year, our similar-powered, 1275 Mk II Sprite ran 131 laps and finished mid-pack (the winner ran 148 laps). The cars are getting faster!

Our Pit Hooligans had a good time too! (but they need SpellCheck for their sign)

More pictures as I get a chance.....

And even better, it looks like the WX for the T Bowl this weekend will be dry with some sun. If I make the run, I will certainly look you up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Izz'em Revolutions (wheels) on that 23 car, Nial? Look like 'em from here.

Did ChrisS gather that up without doin' a full pirouette? I'm just jealous, BTW... You guys are "out among 'em".

Well done! And thanks fer the photos.

Dart:

Look for Spitfire #3 at Turkey Bowl. Nice dark Jag BRG car. Belongs to Steve Groh, Edgewater, MD. I just got back from borrowing enclosed trailer for Steve. It's his first event in this car. Didn't even drive it around his development! We'll be there Friday at Oh-Dark-Thirty. Nasty drive home tonight!

Dale--

Come find me as well--Courier #82.

Best--Michael Oritt

Yes, Doc...those are Revolutions (with Hoosier TD bia-ply race tires). #23 also has a set of Panasports with rains (which I've borrowed for my car).

ChrisS did not do a full 360 as far as far as I recall (but I was busy looking through the camera...time and space stops when I do that). We had a new-ish Impala SS (with LT1) do a nice piroette there.
This turn is the entry to the main straight and *fast*, so 4th gear corner if you want good teminal V at the end of the straight (100 in my car, 110 in #23 and 140 is my son-in-laws Mustang).

For Micheal and the rest of you going to the VRG Turkey Bowl event this weekend at Summit Point....have a great time!
I am jealous, but my Chief Pit Hooligan (sunglasses above) kept giving me the Hairy Eyeball when I mentioned to her that we could go down to Summit for two weekends in a row.....something about "having a life outside of racing?" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
I talked to Mark (Palmer) and told him I wouldn't be going to the Turkey Bowl, but I'll make a number of VRG events next year. I just worked out a deal with Mark and Chris (Shoemaker) so that EMRA and VRG will share a weekend at Watkins Glen in Fall '07....should be fun!

Nial,

Do you have any pictures of the blue and orange Triumph Tr4?

[/ QUOTE ]

He might be in some of my in-car video...I'm not sure, I'll look and let you know.
That thing was FAST!
If he's been to any other recent VRG events (or will be at the TB) Stefaan V. will probably get pictures of him. Stefaan's page is: https://www.at-speed.com/

There was no nice save involved here. When I got perpendicular to the tire wall I saw the escort and locked up up to stay out of his line. That's why there is no smoke in the second picture but plenty in the third.

Absolutely Great Day at the track today. Steve Groh's first time in this freshly built car, about 30 laps and no major problems! Messed around with tire pressures and a couple little leaks and things, but Steve put up 1:38s right out of the trailer. Beautiful weather. Steve loves Vintage and is now hooked. Michael Oritt found us.

I'm pooped. Life doesn't get any better than this.
