I had visions of a bead blaster or sandblasting gun. What are you stripping off the deck, and what are you using to do so? We're looking at a deck refinishing project, and advice is welcome.

Just don't combine the two or I'm outta' here.

Hey Basil, can you add music to a post? Some burlesque music might be appropriate.

Greg! Somehow you managed to respond to that - I thought about it for hours and couldn't come up with the "proper" response that it merited.

Last week stripped the deck. Yesterday and today, put on the first of several coats of Penofin Oil. Redwood Decks are a lot of work to keep up!

I got fed up with the maintenance and redecked mine with Timbertech. Looks great and ZERO maintenance.

"Better Living, Through CHEMISTRY"!!!

Scott, Zero maintenance is a misnomer. There will be maintenance just less.

I'm sticking with Penofin Oil. It's a little more expensive (and a bit more work), but I love the way it brings out the natural color of the wood.
