sed The window edging that attaches to the door...

I ordered the strips that are supposed to be attached to the edge of the door inside when you roll the wwindows up and down. They are metal with a cloth(?) liner. not sure how to attached these to the door? glue??

Outer ones are usually pop riveted or screwed to the door itself depending on the car....interior ones are usually screwed to the piece of vinyl covered wood on the top of the door, again depending on the car.

clips.

I've seen a few cars where they're clipped to the edge of the door metal - clips are real hard to get off without bending because they have these little 'teeth'.

Real hard to get back on too, unless there's a technique that I don't know about. I used the clips and a bead of black RTV - seems to hold up OK so far. One of the many little things Frank needed when I got him - imagine having no outer window seals here in western Washington /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

One day soon I will have to take the doors apart and do some rust control, before it eats through from the inside.
