You don't pick the easy jobs do you? It is recommended that you remove the trim, door handle, window winder handle, door pull and padded waist rail. It would also be a good idea to remove the glass as well. You don't say why you need to do this, but I assume you will need to remove the quarterlight .You can ondo two nuts just below the quarterlight, through apertures which you will see once all the trim is removed. Go to the front of the quarterlight and you will see a large plastic grommet. Remove this and you can get to the third nut. There are two more bolts holding the window channel, one is low down on the door frame. Then you should undo the four bolts holding the winder mechanism extension, slide the steel wheel found on the end of the regulator arm out of its runner on the bottom of the window glass. Lift the glass by hand and remove the winder mechanism. It is advised that you leave it lying in the bottom of the door if working alone, and remove it later.
There are three large crosshead screw holding each hinge to the door. You may need an impact driver for this job. Make sure that the heads of the screws are clean. Leave the hinges attached to the body, or you will be in for real fun and games trying to re-attach those!
Draw the door off the hinges by pulling it outwards and away from the hinge pillar.
That narrative is from the Guide To Purchase and DIY Restoration of the MGB by Lindsay Porter. Well worth the investment if you can get a copy!
I can e-mail you scanned pages if you need them.
