Second try a winner

Ordered/received a used Nikkor AF-S 80~400mm a while ago, from an outfit I've done business with for decades. Disappointed at the thing when it arrived, it was chewing itself up as the zoom ring was turned. Description was "optimistic" in saying it was "stiff". It went back, my money returned. Sent for and received another example, came Monday. MUCH better condition. Below is a test of the functions, right side panel has the exposure info. Hand-held. I'm pleased.

And as an encore I've replaced an older 80~200mm ∱2.8 with a more recent, internal Silent-Wave motor.

And going back to the 80~400: A technologically "unlikely" shot back in my youth. The zoom out to 400, the 1.4x extender, VR on and in "sport" mode. Hand-held!
