If you read my Bonneville story you can imagine what the bike looks like. One of my big dilemnas is what to replace and what to either repaint or rechrome. Two items in particular are the sissy bar and crossover pipes. I am extremely fond of both. They make the bike what it is as far as I'm concerned but both are aftermarket add-ons from 25-30 years ago. The pipes are MAG, I think, and the sissy bar is who knows what...It rises to 3 points. The point in the middle rises the highest. Should I look at having these things rechromed or are they like the z-bars and much cheaper to replace than rechrome?

Greg, Is your sisy bar like mine? ( see the show my yours thread) Just curious.

Is she streetworthy right now?

I'm riding her locally right now. I don't think I'd take her to the beach yet. She just needs a lot of cleaning up now. The motor seems to be pretty well done except for polishing.

I'm sorry Mark, how do I see your sissy bar?

I couldn't really tell if mine was the same although I don't think so. I was going to post a picture of mine today but couldn't find the picture to scan. I'll try to have it on here by tomorrow. By the way, nice bike!
