Sebring Scuttle Vent

Hello,

Does anyone have good pictures of the scuttle vent located in front of the windscreen. I am trying to replicate the scoop and the vent box located under the scuttle. The actual vent box was located in the cabin, two elbows directed fresh air into the cabin. There was some kind of mechanical damper system and i am guessing a lever to close it. I have lots of scoop pictures but no good vent box pictures.
My BJ7 is at Jule Enterprises getting a new frame, can hardly wait to bring it home
Thanks Phil

I would contact Tom Kovas at Fourintune as he restored both '63 Sebring cars 56 FAC & 57 FAC. I don't think they had any special "vent box" though. These were full on racers and the air only needed to enter the cabin to cool the driver, the additional weight for a vent system wouldn't make sence. https://www.fourintune.com/images/56-FAC/index.htm

I have my scuttle vent ducted to the footwell in my big Healey racer and it really does help during the summer race season. You can just make it out to the left of the accusump lever in this picture.

thank you for the replies, I may give Tom Kovas at Fourintune a call, I think (from more investigation) the vent box was empty just a couple of deflectors

Still hope to find a couple of pictures of the actual box
Phil
