I would assume it is the same as a B (just give it a good yank). I am seeming to come up against a stop at the top of the headrest travel. Am I just being limpwristed (watching a Hugh Grant movie right now which would explain it)? Or is there a mechanical impediment that one could tell me about?

LOL Carl. For what it is worth I yanked on mind and they didn't come off either, so it probably isn't the movie. Unless it is one of the Bridge Jones films, in which case you are done for.

I'm eager to hear how to do this properly.
 
Same as MGB. Push it all the way in and pull up hard and fast. If it doesn't slide easily, you can add a touch of vaseline to the track. Just make sure your head isn't in the line of fire. Doesn't hurt as bad as getting hit in the bridge of the nose while removing a steering wheel, but it hurts justs the same. Trust me!
