Seat Pan Photo

Does someone have a seat pan photo that they can please post for me? I'm rebuilding my pans as I have more time than money. What I'm looking for is the curved back portion from the bottom, as both of mine are gone. I do have one small corner that I can use to determine the radius. I've done both sides and front and very satisfied with them Also, the bottom seat frame has three tabs welded on at the back, to face the top. Is this what the seat back rests on? (Mine are bent at three different angles, but appears to be their function.) Thanks in advance.

That is their function.

Bah, no pics of bare seat backs, sorry.

19Sprite65,

These photos are from a '62 Sprite; they do not show a totally bare pan, but do show the fabric torn away and a bit of what's underneath:

Hope it helps,

Thank you gents! But apparently I've misled you. I want to see the bottom of the "bottom pan"- the one you sit on! My backs weren't too awful bad and are now repaired and in primer. I'm into the hard stuff now- the bottom 'pan'.

Oh, no pics of those either but I bet you could make one of plywood to fill in till the real thing became available.

Hold on... let me make a trip to the basement.

How's this? I think these are from a MkII Sprite.

Thats intresting, looks like the pans vent holes changed a bit over the years.

Jack, I have no idea what year these pans came from. I'm guessing wildly. I know they fit the seat frames and look to be the correct shape.

THANKS! Now I can get back to it tomorrow morning. Mine are pretty much rusted away for the last three inches at the back; the bottom 1/2" on sides and front were gone and I've replaced them today. I could've made an educated guess but these shots really help! And thanks again Ray for your effort too. I'm in the final stages of bodywork and sick of it(final sanding and spot putty- UGH) so I'm working on other things for a while. Can always find something wrong and have to add a little and sand a lot. Taking the week off so hope to get something accomplished.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I would use them.

Note that Bugeye bottoms have lots of small holes in them for something that someone decided was not necessary I guess.

LOL, noop, looks like a panel with hundreds of round holes drilled in em was welded in the bottem of the pan. Wish I had a pic.
