Sealing block and good thrust washers

My 1500 engine from My free Spitfire is at the machine shop awaiting the parts. I recall past postings that an improved sealing block from the lower front of the engine is available. Also, someone has developed an improved thrust washer made out of a better material. Can anyone give me the source of these items. TIA

I know the guy in CT who makes those saddle blocks. I used one in my engine when I pulled the pan last time.

Nice machining work.

If your sealing block isn't cracked around the bolt holes you can put in a thread repair piece such as an EZ-lok or timesert. I did this to the sealing block on my engine when it was apart. The sealing block is a bit thin at these locations but there was enough material there, just be real careful drilling and taping. I was able to REALLY torque down those bolts when I put it back together. No leaks so far.
Main advantage is of course that the entire repair cost $2 for the inserts.

I don't think my sealing block is cracked or the threads stripped. The reason I was thinking about changing it is because it has little high peaks where the bolts from the pan tighten down. I figured it wouldn't seal properly. I even checked a spare one I had and it has the same problem. I'm not too interested in spending $65+ though. Can you just file the surface flat?
