I see on Dereck's site in the Longbridge interior section the picture of the SEAL KIT, door to scuttle. I have them (from Moss) but haven't installed them yet. Looks like the wide rubber goes under the dash cover and I assume the seal is attached with split pins. Does anyone have info on installation or more pictures? Looks like they would require some trimming if I am pressing them on correct.

Chuck

I have added to the Longbridge Interiors page of the web site some details about how the furflex and seals are fitted.

You should check that you have the correct parts from Moss. I wasnt aware they supplied them. AH Spares in the UK do have them

cheers

Thanks Derek,
That explains the door seals but not the scuttle to door seal. The picture looks like the upper seal edge goes under the dash cover and is wrapped around and under the front. Is this correct?

Sorry about that. Guess I didnt read it properly, Id just finished answering the furflex & seal question to somebody who contacted me off list

The scuttle to door seal? Which piece do you mean exactly? If its the one Im thinking of Im not sure its any different from the 3000

Hi Derek,
It's the rubber piece that fits to the top of the inside wing and then along the side of the dash. I have turned mine every which way and think I know how it goes on but want to make sure before I poke holes for the split rivits. You can see it in your 1st Longbridge interior picture although I don't think I have a Longbridge Healey but maybe this seal is the same.

Ok it was the piece I was thinking of. I checked with Rich Chrysler and he confirmed that this piece was the same on all 6 cylinder models. Aparantly the quality of these parts varies quite a bit. He recommends getting them from Bill Bolton, who also supplies instructions for fitting.

Attached are two good photos that might help you
